The Report recommends coordinated action by the building and construction sector to tackle embodied carbon. The manufacturing, transportation, construction and end of life phases of all built assets – buildings and infrastructure – are responsible for 11% of carbon emission into the atmosphere.  It sets a vision of 40% less embodied carbon for new infrastructure and building and renovations by 2030.
