The Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) published its Environment Bill on 15 October 2019.  It states developers must deliver 10% net bi-diversity gain through their schemes and if unable, will have to buy ‘biodiversity credits’.  Overall, developers have to guarantee a net gain for 30 years.  Performance will be policed by authorities
