Members of Accessible Retail may be rightly disappointed with today’s statement by Jesse Norman, the Financial Secretary to the Treasury. The announcement below delays the announcement on NDR reliefs until the Chancellor’s Budget ‘21 Statement due to take place on 3rd March. For Billing Authorities and businesses alike whilst welcoming confirmation that annual billing should be delayed, many would have preferred clarity around the extent to which reliefs will or will not be continued into next year and what further measures Government can take to support all stakeholders at this extremely difficult and challenging time.
