Welsh Government Consultation – Development, Flooding and Coastal Erosion – AR Comments invited by 16th December
The consultation sets out proposals to: a) replace the development advice map with a new Wales flood map; b) place a greater emphasis on the development plan and the value of strategic flood consequences assessments; c) integrate guidance on coastal erosion with flood risk issues in TAN 15; and d) provide guidance for regeneration initiatives affecting communities in flood risk areas.
The consultation closes on 17th January 2020. AR intends to respond and asks members with interests in Wales to let us know their views on the proposals so they can be taken into account. The intervention of the Christmas/new year breaks coupled with the mid-January deadline means we need to receive members’ comments by Monday 16 December 2019.
