Rob Stubbings London Marathon 2018

Accessible Retail have supported The British Heart Foundation by attending the Travis Perkins & BHF Charity Ball at the Tower of London this December. AR continues to support this charity into 2018 by way of member support in terms of Rob Stubbings, who works at Travis Perkins.

Rob will be running the London Marathon in 2018 on behalf of Phil Williamson, an AR Member who was a former work colleague and friend. Phil Williamson was just 47 years old when he unexpectedly passed away on the football pitch as a result of a heart complication.

I would now like to help try to avert such future sad events and help others by raising funds for British Heart Foundation (BHF). So on Sunday 22nd April I am going to take part in my first London Marathon in Phil's memory pushing myself to my limits in one of the most iconic marathon events on the world athletics calendar.

I am aiming for a time of sub four hours and believe this is possible having in 2015 completed the Beachy Head Trail Marathon in 4 hours 30 minutes and, earlier this year, the Hastings Half Marathon race in 1 hour 30 minutes.

BHF has helped half the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people of all ages lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £25 could pay for an hour of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.

Just Giving

Thanks!

Rob Stubbings
